Why is this radiator better than the OEM unit?
This aluminum radiator is a direct replacement for the OEM unit.  The design incorporates mounting locations for the fitment of all stock components such as fan shrouds and the a/c condenser, guaranteeing it will work with your car no matter what stage of development it is at. Perfect for anything  from a stock vehicle to a fully dedicated race car.
 
 
 

For the 996 & 986, the innovative swappable fitting design allows the side radiators to be used on either side of the car, creating a single part number to save you money and make it easier when ordering and stocking spares for the track.

The all aluminum design of this new CSF Porsche aluminum radiator increases durability immensely over the stock design. Porsche uses plastic end tanks with a plastic mounting post and with any shock to the chassis or front end, this plastic mounting post of the stock radiator often snaps off, resulting in a catastrophic coolant leak, the end of your expensive stock radiator, and possible engine damage. This all aluminum design uses an integrated aluminum post for a much stronger design, eliminating this common failure point.








 
 
 




Why is B-tubing technology so "cool"?
 
 
 
Unlike a regular oval shape "O" type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in a shape of a "B". These "B-tubes" are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal "O" shape tubes that are welded.

brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tube by approximately 15% over regular tubes. You get the efficiency of 2 smaller tubes vs. 1 large tube within the same space criteria. With "B-tubes" you are able to get "dual liquid laminar flow."
The tubes are made from aircraft grade special clad aluminum and are intricately formed on a high precision 6-stage tube forming mill. No other aftermarket radiator manufacturer uses this technology. This technology raises the bar and sets the standard for high performance radiator cores.

 

 

 
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
In testing, this high performance aluminum radiator showed a significant increase in efficiency over the stock unit. This was the major challenge in creating this radiator as the O.E. Porsche part is already very efficient, so much so that even the RSR race cars simply use a modified version of the stock piece.
 
 

Thanks to CSF’s technical innovations like their B-tubing, superior end tank design, and exquisite craftsmanship, we came up with a design that showed it was capable of removing 5,800 Kcal/hour more than the stock unit. This equates to an average 12.8% increase in efficiency.

 
 
 
 
  

All CSF radiators undergo a rigorous testing process in their state-of-the-art testing lab. CSF’s procedures and requirements set the bar for cooling system reliability and performance:

•Individually leak tested

•Vibration cycle tested

•Thermal cycle tested

•Wind tunnel tested for optimal radiator core cooling efficiency

•Burst pressure and impulse cycle tested 10,000 times for strength

•Salt spray tested for corrosion protection

•10 foot "box drop" test to ensure packaging protection

•30 point fitment inspection on critical dimensions to ensure OE fitment with no modifications necessary
